How to test your antivirus software is properly working or not

First you should open the text editor(e.g notepad). Then copy and paste the following code in your editor then save it as .exe file. Then suddenly after creating exe files or during scanning this test file if your antivirus detects this file as virus, then it means that your antivirus is working well. But if this test file is not detected as virus then it means that your antivirus is not working well.
