HOW TO RESET A CHIP ON CANON CLI 8 CARTRIDGE
How to Reset a Chip on Canon CLI-8, Canon CLI-8 ink cartridges come in black and color varieties. CLI-8 cartridge is used in a wide range of inkjet printers Canon. You can recharge these ink cartridges when they run low, as an alternative to buying new cartridges. Each cartridge has a chip embedded in it tracks how much the cartridge is used to let you know when empty. Cartridge refilling CLI-8 should be reset with a chip resetter for the Canon printer to recognize it as a complete round.

things you need:
Canon chip resetter
1 The position of the CLI-8 cartridges within the cartridge adapter so you can fit in the resetter.
2 Slide the cartridge CLI-8 in the cartridge slot on the chip resetter. Make sure that the gold has been in the line of cartridges with metal connectors in the resetter.
3 Press the cartridge down until the LED light on the resetter green lights at least two or three seconds. The chip is reset.
4 Remove the cartridge chip resetter. Remove the cartridge from the adapter.
